Fanfare Competition

Fanfare Competition

Are you aged 11-16? Do you think you have what it takes to create a piece of music that's catchy, powerful and attention grabbing? More importantly, do you think you can do all this in a piece 30 seconds long?

The Royal Opera House is looking for short, attention-grabbing and original musical ideas that bring a modern twist onto the traditional fanfare.

Ten winning students will get the incredible opportunity to work with a professional composer, the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, and world famous conductor Antonio Pappano to orchestrate and record their piece of music.

Once recorded by the Orchestra, these winning entries will become front of house fanfares at the Royal Opera House; letting the audience know it's time to take their seats in the auditorium at every performance.

How to enter!

To enter, simply head over to the Royal Opera House Website where you can enter your details and upload a recording of your Fanfare to SoundCloud.
