Make a note in your diaries now! Saturday 31 March 2012 is the date of the first ever National Learn to Play Day and we're really pleased to be partnering with Music for All and some of our retailers on this exciting new event.
If you've ever fancied having a go at a new instrument, or picking up on a long forgotten love for something you used to play, then the Learn to Play Day is for you!
During the Day, a whole host of music shops across the country will be opening their doors and offering free instrument taster lessons to anyone who wants a go.
There will be music teachers on hand at all particpating shops who will make sure anyone taking advantage of a taster lesson leaves being able to actually play something.
The idea is to get people inspired about making music, and to just take the chance to go into their local music shop and see what's on offer. The event is aimed at all ages, and the participating shops will have taster sessions on offer covering a whole range of instruments. There may even be some well-known musicians in-store for you to meet and get some tips from.
You can find out more details and search for your nearest participating Learn to Play Day shops on the official website
